Software Crash
Dear Technical Support Team,
We are currently experiencing a software issue with both our OmniScan X3 PAUT 64-channel and 32-channel units.
Both devices are running MXU software version 5.20.
Problem Description:
While inspecting the circumferential welds (CWLs) of a vessel, we divide the scanning path into five sections, with each section approximately 3,000 mm long.
When we enter the scan distance from 0 to 3,000 mm, the system operates normally. However, when we attempt to enter the next section, from 3,000 to 6,000 mm, an error message appears in the middle of the screen stating:
"An error occurred. The program will exit."
After clicking "OK," the MXU software closes completely.
The issue appears when entering the scan distance for the subsequent scanning sections. We have observed this behavior on both the 64-channel and 32-channel units.
Technical Questions:
1. What could be causing this error?
2. Is this a known issue or a software bug in MXU version 5.20?
3. Could the issue be related to the scan distance settings, scan plan configuration, encoder settings, or project file?
4. Is there a recommended troubleshooting procedure, software update, or workaround to resolve this issue?
We would appreciate your technical assistance in identifying the root cause and providing a reliable solution, as this issue is affecting our PAUT inspection activities.
Please let us know if you require any additional information, screenshots, error logs, or project files for further investigation.
Best regards,
PAUT Inspection Team
