PAUT for steep bevels
Hi everybody,
I am working to find a solution for very steep (~8°) and thick (60-120mm) weld bevels and TOFD is out of question as the seams are only accessible from one side. It seems like it’s pretty much impossible to catch any reflection from a lack of fusion in the HAZ but maybe there is a solution I am not yet aware of. Using DLA probes gives a bigger variety of angles to work with but doesn’t solve all the problems.
Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
