    I need an orientation regarding the subject of inspecting with the TOFD technique in API 5L X52 pipe, which has wall thicknesses (5.5 mm-6.35 mm-7.09 mm-8.18 mm-9.27 mm ). You want to find depth of crack-type indications located axially and circumferentially.

    I appreciate you being able to guide me which type of probe, wedge and scanning plan is suitable for the case that I have exposed.

    You will need 10 or 15 MHz, 3 mm dia, highly damped (1 pulse wide) probe with minimum PCS to keep dead zone to minimum
