    • Hazardous ionising radiation requires creation of safety perimeter.

    • Relatively expensive equipment.

    • Relatively slow inspection process.

    • Sensitive to flaw orientation.

    • Usualy not possible to determine depth of indications.

    • Two-sided access to test object is required.
